| Size & Materials: Marble surround, rock trimming the whale, and inside in slates and limestone.This 10 ft. long whale encompasses the lifecycle of the dog fish (chum) inside it. Starting with the egg or roe stage, to alevin, fry, parr, smolt, adult and spawner. There are Salish eyes, and the Native designs of the Crab by Gord Reid and the Eagle by Doug Reid. The Happy Dogfish are crafted in likeness to honour the late Cowichan carver Simon Charlie. |
